1. Register

Register for the April 15, 2012 Frock Swap here. You have the option of either Frock Swap or Rock The Swap. You will receive an email with a confirmed date of the next frock swap when it’s planned!

2. Raid your wardrobe for a MAXIMUM of 15 garments and/or accessories you think others will value but that you no longer wear. Give them a wash, press and fold neatly so they’re ready for the swap. Whatever # of items you bring, that’s how many items you can swap for (eg: if you brought 6 items, you can leave with 6 “new” items). Remember, if you don’t bring anything you can’t “shop” – sorry, that’s how it works!

3. We’ll be holding a clothing drive:

Saturday April 14, 2012
Vinegar Studios (1009 East Cordova Street, Vancouver)
10am - 3pm
Map It

The clothing drive is where you will be dropping off your items so we can confirm the # of items you have and we’ll hold your clothes so we can set everything up so it’s ready for all of you the day-of!
Keep in mind, the clothing drive is NOT the frock swap.

4. Feel free to bring friends with you to the frock swap, even if they haven’t donate clothes – the shopping is only limited to people who’ve brought clothing but we welcome the public to come out!

5. At 12pm on the day of the Frock Swap, we will officially open the ‘store’ to ensure that every guest has a fair hunt! (If you’ve signed up for the Rock The Frock, then you will have access to the Swap at 11:30am.)

6. When you’re all shopped out, guests will proceed to the check-out counter to sign out for their ‘new’ wardrobe. Remember you can take as many items as you bring.

BEFORE YOU BRING YOUR CLOTHING IN.

1. Please bring items you think others will value but that you no longer wear… and do give generously – if you’re not wearing it, pop it into the swap and have a laugh with the person who happily takes it home

2. We don’t discriminate against age, it can be vintage, but shouldn’t look tired.

3. Please bring any extra hangers you have to hang the clothes and make sure to bring a big bag to carry your new finds! We also welcome anyone who’s willing to let us borrow a rolling rack or even donate one!

4. Please check items for tiny spots, minor tears or missing buttons so we can maintain quality and make others aware of minor quirks

5. It is essential that items are cleaned and presented neatly because that’s good manners! Dry cleaning is appreciated, but a light press and neat folding will suffice.

6. We welcome clothes and accessories of varying styles not just the ‘of-the-moment fashions’ as the style diversity is part of the fun.

7. Try to refrain from bringing large bags or huge coats. The less you’re wearing, the easier it is to try on clothing :)

8. We’re open to any questions or concerns you might have so please don’t hesitate to contact us! .
